Chicken Tikka
Ingredients
- 1 pound boneless chicken, cut into cubes
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 2 teaspoons ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- Salt to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)
- In a bowl, mix yogurt, lemon juice, vegetable oil, cumin, coriander, garam masala, turmeric, chili powder, and salt.
- Add chicken cubes to the marinade and coat well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or overnight for best results).
- Preheat grill or oven to medium-high heat.
- Thread marinated chicken onto skewers.
- Grill or bake for 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally until cooked through.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro if desired.
- Serve with naan or rice.
